Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end delivery of projects, from initial briefing to production, within a dynamic product development environment.
- Possess a robust understanding of product compliance requirements and testing methodologies.
- Conduct performance testing and quality control measures to uphold product excellence.
- Proactively utilize initiative and creativity to influence internal team strategies and drive innovation.
- Offer valuable suggestions to shape the future pipeline of product offerings.
- Drive product development initiatives from concept to mass production, overseeing the design, development, and specification of parts, components, and assemblies.
- Utilize 3D software to generate and review designs, including technical drawings, engineering specifications, Bill of Materials, and related documentation.
- Collaborate effectively on Request for Quotation (RFQ), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
- Fabricate prototypes using modern prototyping tools and processes for thorough evaluation and testing.
- Assist in compliance and certification processes to meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide valuable suggestions for the future pipeline of products and technologies.
- Demonstrated industry expertise in product design engineering within the consumer/technology sector, with a strong track record in problem-solving (experience in electromechanical domains is highly preferred).
- Extensive experience across a range of manufacturing processes, including injection moulding, metal casting, metal fabrication, and CNC machining (nice to have).
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
- Proficient in CAD software, particularly advanced modelling in SolidWorks (required) and familiarity with OnShape (desirable).
