Technical Business Analyst – HealthTech
Location: Melbourne - hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days work-from-home)
  
My client is seeking an experienced BA for the implementation of a large-scale health system. This project will integrate a new healthcare technology solution across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with large-scale technology implementations and a strong background in healthcare-related documentation and process mapping. 
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements
  • Lead the documentation process, ensuring comprehensive and accurate system requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows are captured.
  • Liaise between project managers, IT teams, healthcare professionals, and external vendors to ensure alignment on business needs and technical solutions.
  • Analyze and map current and future business processes, identifying gaps and ensuring smooth integration of the new system.
  • Support the project management team in the development of project timelines, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and privacy requirements, particularly in the mental health sector.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and challenges associated with large-scale system implementations.
  • Facilitate training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users and healthcare providers.
  • Assist in testing and validation processes, ensuring the system meets operational, security, and compliance needs.
  
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on large-scale, enterprise-level technology implementations, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce detailed business requirements, technical specifications, and process maps.
  • Experience with healthcare systems, particularly in mental health, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, data security, and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, local healthcare regulations).
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, healthcare providers, and external vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing priorities.
  • Previous experience working on a statewide or large-scale healthcare technology rollout is a plus.
