Our client is a well-known product-based tech company based in Brisbane. Their products are used by thousands of users globally, and they pride themselves on delivering exceptional user experiences backed by solid front-end engineering.
As they continue to expand, we’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer (Contract) to join our engineering team and help them build out key features and enhancements across their web applications.
What You’ll Do
Lead the development and optimization of high-performance user interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship new features
Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible, and performant front-end code
Maintain a scalable component architecture and ensure code quality across the front-end stack
Drive best practices around testing, performance, and accessibility
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in front-end development
Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js
Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL integrations
Strong understanding of web performance, security, and SEO principles
Experience working in agile environments with version control (Git)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience with component libraries like Chakra UI, Tailwind, or Material UI
Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
Experience with CMS integrations (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, or Headless WordPress)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS)
